How To Find Talent For Your Videos

Video marketing is probably the most effective form of marketing these days, which means the competition for high-quality advertising videos is higher than ever. If you want your brand to compete with the best, you need to make the best choices for shooting videos.

Recruit Outside Talent

When you need voice-over professionals for professional videos, there’s a debate about hiring from the outside or inside. There are pros and cons to both situations, but it mostly depends on whether you have the talent within your organization.

If you don’t, or you think it might sound amateurish and affect your brand image, you need to seriously consider hiring talent from outside. While this might be more expensive in the short term, in the long run, it pays off with high-quality content that is very brand-focused.

Recruit Employees

On the flip side, many companies swear by hiring talent from within the organization. If you have suitable talent, this can be sensible because the message comes from the heart of the business and is, therefore, more authentic. Additionally, recruiting employees helps to save money.

It’s worth investigating both avenues because recruiting from the inside can be more cost-effective, but getting the right talent is harder. It’s a marginal process, and if you opt for the cheaper option, the company employees need to have something special to deliver on camera.

Employ Yourself

Another option is to employ yourself; after all, you have the best understanding of the message and the content you want to deliver. It might take a bit of practice and even some training, but if you’re willing to invest the time and energy, there’s no reason you can’t make a great video.

The downside to this approach is that you are so close to the content. When you hire a professional, you get an objective service that can deliver your message in a professional and detached manner. This is something that you can’t contrive or carry out on your own.

Hire Actors

You might need voice-over actors, a voice-over artist, or your video production, but you will also require some actors for the video itself. Again you have two options. You can recruit from the inside or recruit from the outside. Each of these approaches has its upside and downside.

Think about your brand identity and the message you want to convey. Do you want to deliver an authentic message to a broad audience, or do you want to create a professional video that can remain on the internet for many years and not grow tired? Work out the details before investing.

Hire Voice Over Actors

If you are in any doubt, hire voice-over actors for your video production. Voice-over actors are professionally trained and can get the job done in a fraction of the time and to a far higher standard. A voice-over artist also has most of the state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
